FAQs: UDSMR, Netsmart, and McBee

UDSMR joined Netsmart in March 2022. (Click here to read the announcement.) As part of this acquisition, UDSMR’s Education, Training, and Consultation (ETC) Department joined McBee, which is also part of the Netsmart family.

Below are answers to common questions about UDSMR’s acquisition by Netsmart and the integration of UDSMR’s ETC Department with McBee.

Who is Netsmart?

Netsmart is a leading provider of electronic health record (EHR) technology, population health, workforce management, interoperability, data analytics, RCM, and managed services for healthcare markets, including inpatient rehabilitation, long-term acute care, skilled nursing, home care, hospice, private duty, and behavioral health.

Netsmart aims to improve care delivery and streamline administration for these communities, making the complex simple so that you can concentrate on what you do best: provide services and treatment for whole-person care.

How will this change affect UDSMR’s solutions and services?

UDSMR’s solutions and services will continue as usual, but as part of the Netsmart family, UDSMR will be able to add more value to your organization by integrating additional solutions to UDSMR’s existing solution suite.

Will I still be able to use the UDS-PROi® software?

Absolutely! You’ll continue to log in to the UDSPRO Central™ website to enter data, prepare data files for transmission to CMS, access UDSMR’s many free resources, and more, just as you’ve always done.

Note that UDSMR’s products will soon move to the Netsmart Plexus Cloud (NPC) data centers, which means that our clients who use a whitelist (a list of safe, administrator-approved IP addresses, email addresses, and applications that users can access) will need to add UDSMR’s new IP range in order to ensure continued access to the UDSPRO Central™ website. Who is McBee?

McBee, a part of Netsmart, is an industry-leading, premiere healthcare professional services firm that partners with clients to deliver meaningful insights, actionable solutions, and sustainable results. McBee’s Post-Acute Academy hosts hundreds of online training modules covering inpatient rehabilitation, home care, hospice, and more. You’ll see the McBee name on future ETC communications as UDSMR works to build a comprehensive training library for your needs.

Will UDSMR still present workshops?

Absolutely! In fact, ETC’s integration with McBee will allow us to provide even more advisory consulting offerings, including education, training, and clinical documentation improvement services, and we look forward to supporting our current partners and delivering leading solutions throughout the post-acute industry.

My facility has an on-demand webcast subscription. How will this change affect us?

If your facility has an on-demand webcast subscription with UDSMR, you’ll continue to log in to the UDSPRO Central™ website to access your videos, just as you’ve always done.
