Announcement

Today, we are announcing that UDSmr has been acquired by Netsmart, a leading provider of electronic health record technology, population health, workforce management, interoperability, data analytics, RCM, and managed services to the inpatient rehabilitation facility, long-term acute care, skilled nursing, home care, hospice, private duty, and behavioral health markets. The Netsmart solutions improve care delivery and streamline administration for all of these communities.

The addition of UDSmr to the Netsmart family of solutions will add value to you by providing access to additional solutions that will be integrated with UDSmr’s suite of solutions. The addition of UDSmr to the Netsmart analytics suite—SimpleAnalyzer for MDS analytics and submission; SimpleConnect, which will allow you to submit your IRF-PAI to CMS directly; and SimplePBJ for payroll-based journaling submission—creates the leading company providing clinical outcomes measures for organizations across the postacute continuum. In addition, combining with the McBee division of Netsmart, the company will offer the industry-leading coding and training education platform for home health, inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs), and more.

UDSmr extends the Netsmart CareFabric® data solutions to allow an organization to access a fully integrated suite of solutions that will help improve its efficiency and outcomes. The Netsmart CareFabric is a unified platform of clinical and business solutions, including mobile technology platforms, integration, and connectivity to the largest interoperability network of community-based organizations, hospitals, primary care physicians, laboratories, other health information exchanges, and more.

The combination of UDSmr and Netsmart provides a single market leader for data outcomes and reimbursement solutions and education/training for long-term care (LTC) and inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs). Prior to this announcement, Netsmart and UDSmr teams have previously worked together on the UDS-PRO Doc™ System and other solutions for a mutually shared client.

Both organizations share similar values of quality and service-minded innovation when developing meaningful technology and will see these values demonstrated in this new partnership. Netsmart is built on having the best people and leaders in the industry, and by uniting teams, we will be able to leverage a significant depth of knowledge and accelerate technology innovations for our market-leading data solutions and education/training business.

“We are very excited to have you join us as we combine forces with UDSmr and build upon our robust CareFabric platform by expanding our data solutions capabilities that enhance our already comprehensive offering. As UDSmr unites with the Netsmart team, we look forward to learning about each client’s unique capabilities. I want to assure you that the great service and support you have come to expect will continue. Your input and feedback during this acquisition is a key component to our combined success.”
