UDS-Pro System® Update
In 2001 when UDSMR introduced the UDS-PRO® System, which includes the UDS-PRO® software, we introduced a patient assessment tool more powerful than any seen to date by the medical rehabilitation field. Our UDS-PRO® System subscription is designed for IRF-PAI completion, CMG assignment, and data transmission to both CMS and UDSMR. We have also added new features to improve both the timeliness and the efficiency of data submission and report delivery. These technologies offer subscribers many benefits, including reduced turnaround times, a better communication medium, on-site reprints, and cleaner on-site storage and archiving of data.
So why choose the UDS-PRO System?
- A proven track record. Long recognized as the industry's "gold standard" for tracking quality outcomes, UDSMR has demonstrated over 15 years of competency in instrument and database development.
- Exceptional database experience. The size and scope of our database allow facilities to make sound decisions regarding their business and the quality of care. With more than 825 participating facilities, the database is growing by over 150,000 records a quarter. You can rest assured that we have the experience necessary to provide you with the measurement tools you will need to track your facility against regional and national data.
- Outstanding customer service. Our friendly, professional staff - including clinical, technical, analytical, and general support personnel - has been trained to help you get maximum value out of the UDS-PRO System. We have even expanded the hours during which you can call for help!
- On-site training and regional workshops. We offer affordable training, both clinical and technical, that will help you get the most out of the UDS-PRO System.
- The credentialing process. Only UDSMR offers a dual-phase credentialing process that ensures both competency in instrument assessment and reliability in comparative data. To date, over 18,400 clinicians have passed the UDSMR Credentialing Exam for the UDS-PRO System.
- Consultation services. UDS-PRO subscribers have access to UDSMR's consultation services. In response to numerous requests, we are now offering chart audits. These audits provide an objective view of how well your rehabilitation documentation system supports the IRF PAI, identify potential scoring biases, and suggest opportunities to enhance clinical documentation.
- A clear and clinically relevant reporting system. We offer real-time report capabilities, plus profile, listing, and custom reports as part of the
UDS-PRO® software. In addition, we will continue to provide standard quarterly and severity-adjusted reports, special reports, custom reports, and corporate summaries.
- A modern, easy-to-use software interface. Our software offers user security levels, custom fields, import/export capabilities, and secure data transmission. The UDS-PRO® software also tracks pre-admission patient evaluation. It will help you evaluate and manage both Medicare and non-Medicare patients with just one system.
- UDS-PRO® Software Goes Online. We now offer a web-based, Internet version of our UDS-PRO® software to subscribers, providing anytime, anywhere access to
your data.
UDSMR is pleased to announce that we have further enhanced the UDS-PRO® subscription for 2005. Subscribers have the ability to access real time data with benchmark patient data from the largest, most reliable national database in the medical rehabilitation field. As a subscriber this will allow you to create "real-time" outcome comparisons that include both regional and national data. You will also be able to create financial reports at the patient level, the CMG level, and the facility level. We believe that these new enhancements and our standard features make the
UDS-PRO® System the one outcomes system that will best serve the needs of your rehabilitation hospital in 2005.
UDSMR remains dedicated to providing the products and services you need to succeed in this rapidly changing healthcare environment. We are committed to providing cost-effective quality outcomes reporting that will give you a critical competitive advantage in tracking, interpreting, and applying outcome results. We will continue to diligently maintain the national database and to objectively review and report the data. UDSMR will also continue to play an important role in helping facilities satisfy both CARF and The Joint Commission accreditation requirements.
