CMS releases IRF Final Rule FY 2010

On Friday, July 31, CMS released the Final Rule which updates IRF payment rates for fiscal year 2010. The rule clarifies the coverage criteria for IRFs that will take effect on January 1, 2010. CMS also plans to draft new guidance regarding the new coverage criteria that it will place in the Medicare Benefits Policy Manual (MBPM).
